Press-release

Private investors connected to Estonia will acquire ISS Estonia

Private investors connected to Estonia have entered into an agreement to acquire ISS Estonia, a subsidiary of the well-known international facility management group. The new owners support the current management and their objective of cementing the trust of companies on the domestic market and promoting quality.

In December 2018, ISS Group published its new international business strategy, according to which the group would exit from 13 states across the world, including Estonia, in the coming years. ISS, which has been named the world’s best support services provider for the past five years, is the largest integrated facility services provider in Estonia and one of the most important employers in the country.

The new owners of ISS Eesti AS are Triinu Reinold, the CEO of several companies; Ülo Kallas, financial executive and entrepreneur; Roberto de Silvestri, investor involved in international real estate investments, and his business partner Elio Cravero. All of them are connected to Colonna, an investment company specialised in commercial real estate, in their daily work.

Triinu Reinold says that the demand for professional end-to-end facility management services is growing fast in Estonia and foreign investors especially appreciate service excellence in this field. “ISS, which employs 1,500 people, is one of the largest companies in today’s Estonia, and can be called a pioneer on the market in terms of service quality, professionalism and the implementation of new technologies. We trust ISS’s management, highly value their vision and wish to further develop the current services of the company in leaps and bounds,” says Reinold.

ISS Estonia’s COO Mikk Sillamaa assures that ISS Group chose buyers carefully, as it is highly important to find a partner who would continue honouring the values of ISS Estonia and guarantee sustainability for all the company’s employees. “In the past years, we have been concentrating on developing business management and maintenance services, which makes us the leading integrated facility services provider in Estonia. This has become possible thanks to our professional team, who we highly value and acknowledge. ISS Estonia will stay on this course under new ownership.”

The new name of the company will be revealed in the following months, but activity will be continued as ISS Eesti until then.

“The management of ISS Estonia has proposed some changes to the business plan followed according to the ISS Group strategy and we intend to support them fully. We wish to make the transfer as comfortable as possible for the employees and clients so that all parties would win from the change of ownership,” added Reinold.

ISS Eesti AS is Estonia’s largest facility management and maintenance company that also offers a wide range of cleaning services. It employs approximately 1,500 people and services more than 700 commercial clients as well as upwards of 20,000 apartments across Estonia. The company’s clients include retail chains, educational institutions, owners of large office buildings and production facilities.
