Company Day 2018 vike

9th November ISS Eesti organised its Company Day 2018 in Tallinn Technical University (TalTech)

Objective was to clean and rake the outside area of the University and Sport hall. In total of 50 employees from different regions and departments decided to come and lend their helping hands for this good cause. Among all the participants Mikk Sillamaa, COO of ISS Eesti was also spotted.

Company Day is an ISS initiative, where managers are encouraged to work at one of the company’s sites, alongside their colleagues to become more familiar with and perform everyday duties of front line employees. Objective of such unique day is to show ISS’ commitment to getting closer to its customers’ businesses, become closer to customers and front end employees, and thereby better understand their needs. Tallinn Technical University was selected due to need of maintenance of large outside area.

ISS Eesti provides Exterior Maintenance Service – mechanised cleaning (cleaning dust in the summer and clearing snow and slipperiness in the winter), janitor service, mowing and trimming, landscaping, planting flowers etc.

ISS started maintaining TalTech on 1st August 2018. Area, which to take care of is 30 hackers.

First all participants listened to specific Health and Safety training and put on reflective vests. Everyone was eager and happy. Time flew by quickly in good company of co-workers. Here and there you could spot smiles and chatting.

Hard work leads to success. Work activity in the outside area was proven by dozens of bin bags full of weed.

We thank Site Manager and Supervisor of ISS Eesti in Tallinn Technical University, who looked after the organisation and instructions, so that the day would be enjoyable and worthwhile. Addition thank to the awesome TalTech team for taking care of us so well.
